I'll stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
